The project
Amos 17, Jerusalem
Amos Street 17 stands in Kerem Avraham, north of the Jerusalem city centre, and the permit the city approved on 7 July 2026 adds a floor and 10 new homes to the existing apartment building. The approved building appendix is dated 23 March 2026 and sets out the four elevations, the sections, the floor plans and the site plan the works follow. The project is at the planning stage: the permit is in hand and construction has not started.
Kerem Avraham grew on the vineyard James Finn, the British consul in Jerusalem, acquired in 1852, and its streets carry the names of the Twelve Minor Prophets, Amos among them. The quarter sits between Geula, the Schneller Compound and Tel Arza, a dense fabric of three and four storey buildings, most of them from the first half of the twentieth century, that the city now renews permit by permit. The Malkhei Yisrael shopping street is 200 m away, Shabbat Square 400 m, and Mahane Yehuda Market and the HaDavidka stop on the light rail Red Line both sit about 900 m on foot.
The drawings show a four storey building under a pitched tiled roof, with the new construction outlined in red on all four elevations and the demolition work marked in yellow. Balconies are added to the existing apartments under Jerusalem city plan 6455, which the sheet marks in green, and the site plan numbers the parking spaces on the plot.
The timeline below is anchored on the permit date of 7 July 2026. On the standard Israeli sequence the appeal window closes around October 2026, works begin around November 2026, the structure reaches weather tight cover in mid 2027, finishing works run through early 2028, and handover falls in July 2028. No sales site, price list or apartment mix has been published for this address yet, which is the normal picture for a Jerusalem floor addition permit at this point in the cycle. Typologies and prices will be added here as they are released.
