The project
Keren HaYesod 7, Jerusalem
Keren HaYesod 7 is a 43 home urban renewal project in Talbiye, one of the long established residential quarters of central Jerusalem. The city's planning system approved plan 101-1351147 for the address on 26 July 2026, clearing the way to replace the existing building with a new residential block. The renderings filed with the plan show a Jerusalem stone facade, deep balconies on every residential floor, a planted roof terrace under a pergola and a glazed ground floor facing the street.
According to a February 2025 sales listing for an apartment in the scheme, the developer is Carasso Real Estate and the project runs under TAMA 38/2, the national demolition and reconstruction track. The same listing states that every new apartment comes with a protected room (mamad), a parking space and a storage room, with parking in an underground garage. Carasso, a group founded in 1933 whose real estate arm listed on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange in 2022, reports more than 12 years of urban renewal work, and in Jerusalem it is building Carasso Nia on Bethlehem Road in Talpiot.
Keren HaYesod Street runs south from Paris Square between Talbiye and Rehavia, and the municipality has placed it on the route of the Blue Line light rail. From number 7, the Jerusalem Great Synagogue and the YMCA are about 4 minutes away on foot, the King David Hotel about 5 minutes, Independence Park about 7 minutes and Mamilla Avenue about 10 minutes.
The timeline below is calculated from the 26 July 2026 approval on the standard Israeli sequence: works would start around November 2026, the structure would be closed by mid 2027 and handover would follow in July 2028. The developer has not yet published its own schedule, prices or apartment mix, and this page will carry them once they are released.
